Chapter 13 Part two - I hate this part right here

Silence hung over the darkened house like a shroud. Outside the window, the moon peered bleakly through the skeletal of the dense trees right outside the apartment. Gray-black clouds scudded across the sky, living creatures in the night deserting the lowly lighted neighbourhood.

Kim Andee screamed.

Her shriek resounded in the confines of the bedroom, and then away down the hall, like the caterwaul of a hell-bent train.

‘Let him go!” she cried.

Her long black hair was tousled and her hands flapped wildly in front of her face, warding off some unseen menace.

Andee screamed again.

This time she jerked up from her sleeping position and managed to open her eyes. Drops of cold sweat were visible on her forehead and the sides of her oval face.

It’s a dream. It’s just a dream.

She sat with her back pressed stiff against the headboard, staring straight ahead through unfocused brown eyes, her knees tucked tightly to her chest. Her chin rested between her knees and she shivered so violently her teeth chattered, but still she stared straight ahead at the blank painted wall. A thin breeze fluttering the curtains.

And as if on cue, the alarm clock goes off. Her breathing slowly falls back to the normal rate as her eyes wanders to every corner of her bedroom. She moved her heavy hands towards the side table in order to turn off the alarm. And without any might, she carelessly caused the alarm clock to clatter to the floor.

The terror encounter at the cafĂ© must have brought the past events to haunt her again. She stretched languorously, and pulled herself out of bed. It’s a new day of the week and she has routines to oblige by. She grabbed her robe out of the closet and followed the shadows of the bedroom, into the empty hallway, barely lit by the bathroom night-light.

Inside the old grey-brick 4-storey building with its one lit window, Changmin lay sleeping the Sunday night away. A freshening breeze stirred the 4 wall-ed, walnut-color tiled practice room. Beside him, Jaejoong ran his fingers through his hair and gulped down a half-filled bottle of ice-water. Jaejoong’s full head of jet blacked hair matched his eyes, those pair that were seen without contacts only at night.

The twosome came to their workplace the previous night as they could not sleep so in turn they practised the dance moves for their new music video. After 2 hours of vigorous dance routine practices, Changmin said he was too tired to head home so Jaejoong told him to take a few minutes of sleep.

Jaejoong stared off into space, only to be alarmed by a message from his cell.

“Are you guys at the practice room?”

Typical of Yunho to ask that question if he finds any member missing from their apartment.

He then quickly punched in a reply.

“Yes ^^. Changmin is asleep though.”

“We have a meeting at noon later with Teacher Lee. I’ll bring a change of clothes for the both of you then.”

“Ok, and don’t forget to bring breakfast.”

Jaejoong closed his eyes and rubbed his temples hard, but the sudden headache he felt now wasn’t the kind that could be massaged away. He slowly rested his head beside Changmin and within minutes he was fast asleep.

Yunho pulled onto the open carpark beside SM building and he can see his manager standing at the porch waiting for them to arrive. As usual fans were waiting outside his workplace, in order to get a glimpse of their favourite artists. And today was no exception. He glanced across the seat. Junsu was in the midst of unfastening his seat belt and Yoochun was busy searching for something in his bag.

“Let's go guys. Grab those waffles too.” Yunho called out while reaching for his shoulder bag at the rear seat.

Soon they were walking towards the side entrance of the building and greeting their manager who was there earlier in the day.

Andee’s POV

The first thing I did when I reached her office at the grand boutique was to check on the voicemails at my office desk. Quickly jotting down the important messages, I motioned towards Mr Choi aka Hyun-ju’s room.

I was about to knock on the side of the door when my supervisor called out my name.

“Andee thank god you’re here.”

“Yes Hyun-ju?”

“The makeup team is already at the site organising their items and the models are on the way for the trial run. Grab this file and see the movers off. They will be bringing the clothes."

Glancing at his wrist watch, he looked up to me.

“They are leaving in 10 minutes. I will be there in the afternoon so you can proceed to organised the clothes and model appearances as soon as you get there. Oh no, I missed out on something. .” His voice trailed off.

He handed me a red card that says “Invitation.”

“I need you to personally give this card to Dong bang shinki from SM Entertainment. The president has asked me to extend an invitation to these idols at the very last minute and I’m in a very tight schedule now. Couldn’t make time to go over to hand them the invitation.”

As he was talking my heart stopped beating for a second and I stared at Hyun-ju almost petrified.

“..So my dear Andee, please drop by the building today to give this card and send my regards to Mr Lee So Man. He is aware of the invitation but for etiquette sakes we need to hand him the card invitation for access. Thank you dear.”

With that he walked out of the room, leaving me dumbfounded as to where the hell is SM building. And the thought of me bumping into the guys again just make my legs turned into jelly.

I need my guardian angel now.
